Monday, December 01, 2008 11:42:32 PM

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Scott Rodgers and Gerald Colds each scored a game-high 13 points to lead Drexel to a 55-47 win over Cal State-Northridge on Monday night.

Rodgers' steal followed by a dunk gave Drexel (2-1) the lead for good with 5:02 remaining. Eight of his 10 second-half points came during the Dragons' game-ending 10-2 run. Drexel shot just 29 percent from the field but took advantage of 19 offensive rebounds.

Cal State Northridge (1-5) opened up a 36-29 lead in the second half after a jump shot by Tremaine Townsend with 15:29 left. But the Dragons scored 12 of the next 15 points, eight of them by Colds, to give Drexel a 41-39 lead with 12:23 left.

The Dragons and the Matadors exchanged the lead six times in the second half.

Matthew Wallace led Cal State Northridge with 12 points and Deon Tresvant chipped in 11.
