Airliner lands safely with shattered windshield

Tuesday, December 02, 2008 8:34:24 AM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - An airliner with a shattered windshield has landed safely at Kansas City's airport.

Kansas City International Airport spokesman Joe McBride says the United Express plane was carrying 72 passengers and crew members on a flight from St. Louis to Denver.

No injuries were reported in the Tuesday morning incident.

McBride said the shattered windshield was still in place when the plane reached a gate after the landing.

Authorities had no immediate explanation for what shattered the windshield.
